Previously home to redundant and unattractive garages, the site has been transformed with the addition of two blocks of student accommodation to address the shortage of student living in the area. The blocks of 10 and 13-storey height will provide over 400 student rooms in the city.
Husk manufactured over 2600 sq m of aluminium arrowhead cladding in RAL 7023 (concrete grey) to encase the building, providing strong, weatherproof protection and a superior aesthetic appearance to the building.
Husk’s Arrowhead plank system consists of interlocking cassette panels with secret fix planks that can be run horizontally or vertically, maintaining a smooth appearance.
Coordinating aluminium coping and column casings were also supplied to complete the exterior weather proofing of the buildings.
The arrowhead folded panels are fabricated from 2mm thick sheets of aluminium alloy, produced in accordance with BS EN 485-2:2008.
